Kevin Smith thrown off airplane

Didn't wade through this whole thread, but all I can think of is the flight attendant punching Smith in the face, chucking him off the flight and then calmly looking at the rest of the passengers and saying, "No ticket."

So, James from Survivor, who is as fit as anyone, should have to buy two seats, or is it three seats (so there is space on EACH side)?, because his shoulders and arms exceed the width of the seat by at least an inch on each side?

As long as he's not grotesquely fat, I'm sure nobody will mind. That's what it all comes down to, right?

I'd rather sit next to a fat person than a guy with huge muscles.

I've sat next to NFL players several times on small planes and that was much less comfortable than sitting next to someone who is heavy.

I don't give a **** what you would rather have happen.

Intrusion is intrusion.

How big a boy are ya?

I thought that the airlines' policy was to give me the middle seat between two very large women holding crying babies with rowdy drunk guys in all the surrounding section who later get sick.

Re: bydesign's post a few back...a ticket to florida over $200? ****, I can't fly to Kentucky for less than $400.

The cheapest fares are always the ones that are the most popular. NYC to LA is probably one of the cheapest routes to fly. I've done round trip for under $200 fairly recently.

I just booked that flight round trip (well, similar, NYC to Burbank) for $245 for a weekend in May. For a cross-country flight, I'll take that. I remember having to be very patient and willing to fly at the worst times to get a round trip flight from Pittsburgh to Seattle for under $350 a few years back.

Oh, I know. But I've looked for flights to Florida, or LA, or Vegas. Had a hard time finding what I would call a "good deal."

To wit, kayak searches just done, 3/11-3/18:

My home airport to Miami: $365
to Fort Lauderdale: $296
to LAX: $306
to Orlando: $310

Point, Mizzou, is that not everyone lives in Atlanta or Miami or NYC. To say that it would be a shock to see tickets to Florida top $200 is excluding, I think, a large portion of the country.
