Got to admit. The guy had me fooled back then.
And I will agree. He was one Democrat I like. But if you can't run your house with integrity, which centers on your personal life, how can you seriously run the country with integrity?

Edwards may be a family-destroying hypocrite on his best day, but at least he didn't push a values-driven political agenda! Let's have a little perspective here, people.

I always wondered if 2004 would have been a little bit different if Edwards had been at the top of the ticket rather than behind Kerry. I think a lot of times the primaries don't pick the candidate that would fare the best in the general election and I definitely think that was the case that year.

And will be the case for the GOP in 2012. Romney is electible, and maybe Pawlenty if he can get any momentum, but they can't win the GOP nomination. Palin or another Tea Party favorite can win the nomination but not the general election.

Apparently they came close to a last minute misdemeanor plea bargain but the DOJ was insisting on 6 months jail time and Johnny didn't want to go to jail:

Cheney destroyed Edwards in the debate forum.

Granted, Cheney's positions were based entirely on bull**** and fantasy, but he won the
verbal joust, by daylight.

Between John Edwards and Jesse Helms, North Carolina certainly knows how to make the worst kind of news splashes Senator-style ...

How about Herman Cain? I really believe he'll be on the ticket...

The only thing John Edwards is afraid of:

Just heard the news headlines on the radio.

They said Elizabeth videotaped a statement "from her deathbed" detailing how John lied about and covered up the affair.

Wow.

That's one way to ensure you get the last word.

Bitter, mean and vindictive.

I love it.

Other than the Enquirer and Fox citing 'sources' is there any other evidence of this?

Yeah, I find this one pretty hard to believe.

I mean, I'll laugh my ass off if it's true... but color me skeptical.

By the way, here's his mug shot, released today:

*** - what was John Kerry thinking. The guy looks like a used car salesman.

I think it would be foolish to doubt the Enquirer's credibility on this story.

I think it would be foolish NOT to doubt anyone's credibility on anything. Show me some proof, I'll believe you.

His hair looks fantastic! He could give Nick Nolte a point or two.

Now that extramarital affairs have manipulated up to the level of criminal activity...Edwards may be a very bad man, but I don't blame him for that F-you grin in the mug shot.
