Doesn't sound too serious, but still.

From KTLA:

BURBANK -- "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno has been hospitalized.

According to Tracy St. Pierre of NBC, Leno checked himself in to the hospital because he wasn't feeling well. St. Pierre confirmed, tonight's show taping has been canceled.

There had been speculation that Leno may be suffering from food poisoning, however St. Pierre said she did not believe that was the case. She would not elaborate on the comedian's condition, except to say Leno was being checked out by doctors.

He is said to be in "good spirits" and writing jokes from his hospital bed.

I like Jay. I hope he gets better but honestly, I watch Frazier reruns instead of his show.

Hope it's nothing serious. I think the reason it's news is that the guy is like a battleship. He doesn't miss shows. Extra props for adding another free show in Ohio.

But can you imagine what the folks at NBC thought when they heard it? Hell, he's 30 percent of their primetime next fall.

That's exactly right, Dan. I don't watch his show, either, but it would definitely be big news if it was serious.

It takes a lot to knock Leno off the stage, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if this was something more serious than is being let on. Obviously hope that is not the case.

He told his doctor he was "feeling funny."

The doctor said it was about time
