I've never seen The Godfather

Take some rainy day when you have nothing to do, dim the lights, pull the shades and watch Godfather I and II back to back. Then thank me. Best two movies ever. The only debate is which is better.

It doesn't rain in Vegas, but I am thinking of doing this tomorrow evening.

I was 11 when The Godfather came out. It didn't interest me. By the time I became interested in a movie I'd heard so many great things about, I was turned off by the investment of time it would take -- nearly four hours.

My nephew has all three in a DVD set. When I get get home from vacation I shall be viewing 1 and 2. Especially if I get laid off at the end of this month.

The Godfather was the best moive ever made ... until The Godfather Part II.

But the baptismal scene in The Godfather is still the greatest four minutes (give or take) in cinematic history.

See the Godfather I and then Godfather II. Or catch the whole thing on Bravo when they intertwine the two into one story that lasts all day. Brilliant flicks.

no shame in that, imho. we're talking works considered to be examples of epic filmmaking. i'm not sure any of the "hp's" or "titanic" will ever be on any true film aficionado's all-time top 10 list.
