Woman from SF Bay Area sends $5,900 in reply to a Craigslist ad for four "Super Bowl tickets" to a "tax attorney" from "Boca" who is a "Ravens season ticket holder" but can't go because his "wife" is "pregnant."

Lo and behold, the return envelope contains nothing but pictures of Flacco and Kaepernick and the words "Go Ravens! LOL!" She tells the Mercury News her sob story, then goes on the radio to repeat it. Today, Ticketmaster gives her four tickets (and breakfast with Troy Aikman!).

Christ. The whole thing is so ridiculous I'm actually wondering if it's a scam that the woman pulled on the newspaper to dupe them into helping her.

Love the quote from the sympathetic Ticketmaster official who just feels terrible that people feel the need to go to outside sources, instead of paying their "convenience fees," which are really just for your own good.

Never mind that whole "supply and demand" thing.

And if this woman does somehow get her money back, she'd better be making a charitable contribution equal to the face value of the tickets. (Speaking of which, she can expect a bill from the IRS on those, too.)
