Woke up almost in a panic this morning thanks to a little dream where it was 11:41 p.m. on a Friday, I hadn't even turned on the laptop let alone written a word and the boss was about one heartbeat away from a massive stroke. You'd think after a couple of decades in this business that I shouldn't worry about **** like that any more. My subconscious must be one big stinking pit of despair.

On the bright side, by waking up a couple hours earlier than normal, I had time to get a couple of loads of laundry done. Thanks to the time I've spent on football preseason and the other fall sports getting going, I was about to have to go commando.

No. 1 on the list of things I'd rather not know.

Shouldn't a No. 3 be a nasty, wet shart? Kind of combines Nos. 1 and 2.

I know it's football season because the AP score center called last night from Tacoma looking for games that won't be played until next week.
