IT is on XM again. They're running through every single Top 40 hit ever. Right now they're finishing up the 70s and will move to the 80s channel around 6 tonight.

Somebody let BYH know...

That's means only a day or so until ... Stars on 45!

You sonofabitch. Now I can't get that chorus out of my head.

A_QB, I thought IT was every song to ever CHART on the Hot 100? Is it just top 40? Man, I would love to do the research for that project. Find every song to ever chart. That would be fun.

I thought this was going to be about Pennywise.

I guess I'll check back in 27 years.

Great reference.

Scariest book I've ever read too.

BYH, not sure if it's Top 40 or Top 100. I was just assuming Top 40.

I was in eighth grade in early 1980.

Darn, this thread isn't what I thought it was about.

I'm still waiting for IT to return to my desk to fix my computer. They've been promising to come back for weeks. I thought maybe the techs finally returned.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it signaled the return of a certain super-genius to the board. Thankfully, it's almost a month out ...

The playlists are out there. I have them on PDF somewhere.

According to xm.com, it's every song that reached the Top 40.

I've listened to every "IT" since it started as the "Monster."
It is one of the best reasons to have XM.
I have been glued since the late 50s, listened to a good chunk of the 60s and a majority of the 70s.
Basically, if I'm awake, I'm listening.
I'm recording IT with my DVD recorder since XM airs on DirecTV.
I have no idea what I'm going to do with them, but it's nice to have 8-hour chunks.
Heck, Olivia Newton John is singing Magic as I type.
Amazing stuff.
Earlier ITs were every song that hit the Billboard Hot 100 but I think that my be different this time.
I know a XM PR guy, I'll e-mail him soon and ask.
Once IT gets through 1987, I'm mostly out and when it hits the 90s, it's buh-bye.

Believe it or not....
Joey Scarbury's No. 2 hit from June 1981.

You must not be using TiVo because mine will not let me record music channels.

The living room TV is hooked up to a DVD recorder.
The bedroom TV has the DVR.
I have no idea how I'm going to convert these IT DVDs into audio files.
I am an ITaholic, I listen at work thanks to my Treo and the Slingbox, then at home with my boombox and then the car.
The songs take me back, I can remember certain events of my life through the music.
Sad thing is, once IT gets through the mid 80s, I'm outta here.
