... so any suggestions on what I should try to accomplish in the latest year of my life?

Have at it.

See the White Sox win a World Series. Oh wait, you already did. Sorry, no more ideas.

I do run a couple times a week, so a related challenge is a good idea. Maybe a half-marathon, though. Where would I find a good training regimen for such a thing (Web sites, mags, etc.)?

Handful of 8-balls and a woman who likes to get naked and shoot up. Seedy motel room.

Keep suggestions to things I've never done bef ... Uh, never mind.

As far as training schedules go, Hal Higdon.com is a good place to begin. Lots of good schedules for various skill levels. I know he has marathon training schedules there. I'm assuming he has half-marathon ones, too.

As my dad said when I turned 35 last year, "now you can no longer be trusted."

I don't know, but I left you an early birthday present on the "civil" thread.

Go to Tahoe, I hear it's only a 15-minute trip there.

That one time I had an unfortunate combination of chili and beer. One time.

BTW, Happy 35th!

Sincerely,
Class of '71
(the foul year of our lord, according to HST)
