News reports say a *** a few miles from me is in trouble and if it goes we communities downstream could be in for some serious ****.

Any prayers or meditations or good thoughts would be appreciated. When I get home from work tonight I'll be moving some stuff upstairs.

tony, my best to you and yours. I know a coworker of yours has been battling some flooding issues.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

The water is already coming through my apartment floor, tony.

I feel you, and will have a good thought.

My response on this thread will make no difference, but hopefully the prayers will.
God be with you and all effected.

Best of luck Tony.

I'm on vacation and fear that I might have water in my (finished) basement in a different locale when I return.

Thanks to everyone. It'll either be a very nervous or very hectic next couple of days.

Quit your ****ing whining.

I know some who have already gotten effed in the A by this mother****ing rain >:(
Sorry about your troubles, too. Rain sucks.

Tony, Zeke, let me add my prayers to the list. God be with you and your families.

I told GWB to send the storm in a different direction. I guess he still cannot tell his left from his other left.

But I'm with you guys and anyone else being flooded.

UPDATE: A friend has sent me a link to a newspaper story where my town's police chief says “We don’t expect it will be a major problem, according to the DNR (state Department of Natural Resources), but we could find ourselves with some flooding" about a mile from my house.

That is very encouraging, but I'll be nervous until it either hits or the threat is entirely past. And it won't hurt to move the valuable stuff like guitars and such upstairs.

Those of you who sent spiritual support my way during the November wildfires, it's coming back to you right now. Hang in there, friends.
