The amusement park is gone, turned into a fairly large mall and parking lot. The hotel, which is huge, is about 5-10 minutes away.

I'm with you. It's seems scary and evil -- and I'm kind of fond of the Grand Ol' Opry and thought the amusement park was great for little kids.

But there is something Stepfordish and a little off about that place. It has a bad aura.

Maybe that's what had him grumpy in his press conference yesterday when he was talking about everyone writing lineups on the board and he liked one of them. It was probably the one without Jones in it.

I had an awesome time at the NHL Draft but didn't go anywhere near Opryland. Went back a couple of years later and had loads more fun. Memphis is cool but I'll take Nashville over it any day.
