How much do you text?

QWERTY is the standard typewriter keyboard, which a BlackBerry has. And I've gotten better, but I've learned to hate the words in which three straight letters are on the same key, and you have to wait those extra counts to avoid typing nonsense.

That's why I'd marry the T9 function if it were socially acceptable.

Prior to three days ago? Send and receive about 50 a month. But then they started charging me nearly .35 cents a text. So I just changed my plan to $5 a month for 200.

I'm already at 121. I might need to switch to the unlimited. It is crazy.

When my girlfriend, then fiancee and now my wife lived apart, I texted a ton. I have a feeling that will change now. I would guess that I averaged about 2,000 sent/received per month.

I went to church with a teenage girl who hit 7 or 8,000 in a month, and they didn't have unlimited texting at the time. Ouch.

50 to 125 a day? About what?

It varies. Today, for instance, my nympho friend and I spent about an hour going back and forth because she's in an uncommon dry spell. I went between reading a book and answering her messages -- and then she got back to me a little bit later. Just with her, I sent at least 40 messages. Another friend and I exchanged some line from Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Throw in some Green Day lyrics to a friend in Minnesota, and you've got around 60 in three people.

Then there's score and progress updates at work. It's pretty easy, actually.

I guess I should know the answer to this, but because I send only two or three texts per month, it's no big deal. I have Verizon and I assume I get charged for texts I send but not for texts I receive. Am I mistaken?
