How much do you text?

I send anywhere between 50 and 125 a day, generally mixed between, generally, three or four people. If I'm really bored, which happens quite often, I'm texting all the time.

Oh, I never text speak. Everything's spelled out. But the QWERTY keyboard on my Voyager makes it easier.

I'm proud of my semi-colon use through texts. It's one of my best qualities.

You have the same phone as me? Damn, that's creepy. I hope you didn't spend as much as I did.

That would probably make texting more appealing. But I have a fair number of phone calls, and like Mizzou, I email a lot.

I just checked my call history from November to December, and I sent about 2,000 texts and made or received 285 calls. I didn't realize I was on the phone that much. Of course, I use my cell for work a lot, and I went on a couple of road trips. And then there's calls to Grandma three or four times a week.

So for the people that don't text, do you have actual phone conversations?

No. I text almost never - my phone is synced to my e-mail.

When I take a picture on my phone and e-mail it or "share" it, however, that counts as a text.

I get a phone call every three days or so, I get a text way more frequently than that.

I guess what I'm saying is that I e-mail off my phone, so why would I need to text? I'm not charged per e-mail, but it's part of my "data package" ??

For people who text a lot, it might be worth it to look into that.

I do too, except I have a Curve.

I apparently sent and received 779 texts last month. I used 349 regular minutes, 195 M2M minutes and 1,313 night and weekend minutes, so I exponentially talk with my phone more than I text, mostly because most of my really close friends aren't texters. About the only texts I send/receive is to my boss, my friend Liz and other random people. But those two are the only ones who I text to normally.

My e-mail addy coming your way.

:D I used to text a lot through e-mail until I invested in unlimited. I come close to texting in four figures each month.

I don't send many texts but JR (God bless him!) updates me on Brampton and Leafs games via text when I'm doing a show. However, he usually sends them for free from our cell providers website.

A lot. But you can count the people I text with regularly on one hand. A woman I dated for years (known nowadays as Satan) introduced me to texting a few years ago. It was her primary form of communication with the world. After I got a phone bill charging me 10 cents or 25 cents or whatever it was per text, I changed to an unlimited plan. I've never had phone sex, but we did have "text message sex" a few times while she was sitting in all-day meetings. With her out of my life, my texting behavior has changed. I have a few guy friends who I text with all day long. Like during the game last night I must have sent and received 100 text messages, including my particularly inspired, "The Ref has a Scatman Crothers vibe going."

I probably sent/received 2,500 texts -- including 113 some random September Saturday -- in a month's time with an ex-girlfriend. She said she reached 300 most days, which is complete insanity.

The problem? I didn't have a text plan.

At $0.20 per text, it sure added up ... if I remember correctly, the one bill was around $900.

(Yes, I have a plan now :))

I had to get unlimited, because I kept blowing through the 1,500 I was paying for in no time at all.
