I once stubbed my toe walking to the food line while covering a golf tournament.

I got a splinter in my hand from the press desk being knocked over by two brawling basketball teams. All I got.

With me, it happened when a running back had broken free and was running down the sideline. I got the shot, stepped back, watched the runner run past me and get tackled about 20 yards further downfield. The whistle blows, then I was hit by a kid who was getting blocked after the play was over.

I still can see a bit of a scar on my finger, if I look really closely.
