"Is this game critical? No. Is it big? Yes. And it is big, mostly, in regards to the psyche of the Tigers."

The Tigers, BTW, are 4 1/2 games ahead of the White Sox as of this posting.

I hope to God the Twins catch those assholes and they don't even make the playoffs.

They're doing their level best, AQB.

If you want a chuckle, though, check out some of the lineups they've been winning with.

Jason Tyner, Pat Neshek, Nick Motherufckin' Punto.

But as long as the ChiSox pitching continues to implode, they've got a chance.

How about, screw the dirtbag owner, leave my ****ing Twins alone!

These kids are alright.

As a lifelong Twins fan (I'll have always 87 and 91), I agree about Pohlad.
But I think it's time for Terry Ryan to exit.
The Twins won't catch the White Sox because Kenny Williams will do what it takes if the pitching continues to suck over the next week; Ryan, meanwhile, won't risk trading one of his prized prospects so the team can make a run.

See, I just don't understand that.

If Pohlad finally croaks and Ryan has a couple of seasons with an owner who will spend money, and he still won't deal midseason to help a team, then I'll buy it.

Until then, he's running the team the only way it makes sense to run it given his financial limitations. The only thing you can really hammer him on is giving Radke too much money, and that was a plea to keep the fans from deserting the team/.

Remember, the guy pulled of AJ Pierzynski for Nathan, Bonser and Liriano.

And I'm right there with you. I'd love to see him pry the old man's wallet out of his hands for****ingonce before the deadline.

Just one for-real right handed bat to plant between Mauer and Morneau.

One more bat. That's all I'm asking.

Be smart. Divvy your money up between this and the Berman thread. Eventually, some one will take us up on it.

What's the bounty on Berman up to now?

Not sure, but the last time I tallied, it was well over $200 for confirmation of a pimp slap to his oversized dome.

Oh, it's waaay past that. I pledged somewhere between $100-150 if certain stipulations were met.

Best I can tell it stalled at aroun $210, unless seperate pledges were made on different threads.

Someone offered $500 if a co-announcer on a golf telecast would describe a short putt as "within the leather."

Which is ****ing hilarious.

Hawk Harrelson is an asshole idiot who should have been i n a Texas death match with Mariotti years ago.
And I am in for the Hawk/Berman ***** slap for 50 bones.

Having said that, the Tigers are like 2-7 or something like that against the Sox and like 1-and-111billion against the Yankees -- even if they are 4 1/2 up on the Sox...Detroit has gotten fat on the average teams and the havenots and flopped against the haves.... Yes, it was big in regards to the psyche of the Tigers heading into the stretch

Now get me another beer newb... top of the seventh coming up

And they're about to be 3-7 and 5.5 up on the Sox.

BTW Sox fans, here come the Twins.

SHHHHHHHHH!

There's nobody back here. Continue your infatuation with the Tigers and Yankees. It's just Minnesota and Tampa Bay. Probably won't even get a mention on Sportscenter.

Nothing to see back here, honest.
