I hope not. All you need to know about that guy is to look at the states he won. The last time I checked, five of six were among the 10 least educated states in the country as measured by percentage of adults 25+ with bachelor's degree.

Yes. When McCain makes him the VP candidate. :)

Won't happen. Florida Gov. Charlie Crist has been McCain's shadow of late.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with having Crist by your side ...

He needs to get away from it all, maybe saddle up a dinosaur and go out riding like his ancestors.

Huckabee accomplished what he set out to do ... to become the new face of the social conservative wing of the GOP. In that respect, he was a wild success.

How old is he? Could he make another run at it in four years if McCain falls?

Ding!

I'm not sure he ever really appealed to a significant percentage outside of evangelicals.

Well, he's got 4 to 8 years to work on that. And even though he's watching his weight, he'll never have to buy Sunday dinners again. Ever.

Well -- is he running for 2012 (or 2016) or for the VP spot now? I'm guessing the former.

Also, if he isn't VP, what does he do in the next 4 years to stay relevant?

I don't think it works that way anymore - 4years is not that long. Edwards' problem wasn't that people forgot about him, if anything the opposite.

Huckabee must save Bruma!

People forget, but Edwards was the Obama of '04. If there wasn't a war going on, he'd have been the nominee and probably the President.
