Golf Channel starting morning show

NEW YORK (AP) -- The Golf Channel is going for an earlier tee time.

The network said Friday it will introduce a weekday morning news show, starting Jan. 3. Golf will be the focus for "Morning Drive," but hosts Erik Kuselias and Gary Williams will briefly fill in duffers on general news and weather.

Programming chief Tom Stathakes says the show will be reminiscent of MSNBC's "Morning Joe." He wishes Golf Channel had done this earlier because some days it doesn't present fresh programming until evening.

Kuselias has worked for ESPN radio and TV networks, hosting "NASCAR Now" and "College Football Live." Williams has been doing the early morning program on Sirius/XM's Mad Dog Radio.

I think Kuselias is terrible. I have no idea who Gary Williams is.

There's a young, upcoming female announcer/correspondent going to be in that show as well who will definitely make golf more interesting. Official announcement coming later.

Who's gonna work all the holidays and weekends for ESPN radio now?

Hmm, I hadn't heads Erik Kuselias on ESPN Radio for a while. I may be the only person on earth who actually liked him. Maybe that's because I loathed the person he was filling in for, Gotleib, Cowherd, etc, and anyone would be a step up from them.

Bristol Palin. No, I said it would want to MAKE you watch.

Little Rock TV reporter Holly Sonders.. Google her. You'll be glad you did.
