Sitting behind an iMac. Why?
No, this doesn't belong on Anything Goes.

He just donated more than 200 autographed baseballs to the Negro Leagues Museum. So many, the museum isn't sure how to display them all ...

He sang the Canadian National Anthem at the 1991 All-Star Game in Toronto. He's a huge baseball fan as is the band.

The back cover of the Signals album was full of baseball references.

Randy Johnson was a roadie for Rush on one of their winter tours when he played for the Expos.

He's big-time into fantasy baseball ... remember he was part of ESPN's fantasy leagues promotion last year. The liner notes of Rush's Signals CD shows a zoning map of a subdivision (playing off the song title "Subdivisions") and one of the streets is "Warren Cromartie Drive."

I have tickets to see them in a few weeks ... most people don't have much gray area when it comes to Rush ... you either love them or hate them. But those guys put on a hell of a live show

Geddy Lee is often seen in the seats behind the plate at Jays' games.

I've seen them once every tour starting with Presto. I heard the pulled Distant Early Warning and a couple of others out of the set this time. I was disappointed by that. I like pretty much everything on Grace Under Pressure.

On that tour, they played about 2 1/2 hours, which included YYZ and a good portion of the 2112 Overture.

They encored twice, then the lights came on.

It went pitch black about 30 seconds later.

The next thing we heard was

"A modern-day warrior
Mean mean stride,
Todays tom sawyer
Mean mean pride."

Huge explosion, crowd went ****ing nuts...

Great show... Geddy Lee Rocks, but Neil Peart is the best drummer I've ever seen.

Maybe it's just because it was the first time I saw them live, but nothing will beat when they played Tom Sawyer in the Presto show and those giant inflatable rabbits on either side of the stage were strutting to the beat. That, the performance of Manhattan Project and accompanying film during that same show, and hearing 2112 in its entirety on the Test For Echo Tour are the moments that stand out to me.

I still have my T-shirt from the Presto Tour in 1990.

Somewhere, I still have my Hold Your Fire tour T-shirt.

John Rutsey, the band's original drummer, died last month.

There's a great thread there. Oldest tour shirt you still own and wear.

Seen them five times, and they've never disappointed. Probably my favorite band across all genres. Would like to see them this summer, but I don't know when or where.

And I always thought it was "Warren Cromartie Secondary School."

Seems like they've made only minor adjustments to the set from last year's tour. Apparently one of those is adding Red Barchetta.

Sadly, I won't be going this summer.

Also, for those who haven't seen it, Geddy and Alex came out during the Foo Fighters' Toronto show and played YYZ with Taylor Hawkins.

Question: Is Rush becoming somewhat of the modern day Grateful Dead in terms of their followers? You do seem to get a passioned, fervent feel from their fans, many obviously of the repeat-repeat-repeat customer variety. Not sure there's many other groups out there today that generate that type of passion.

But, hey, you can be the captain, and I will draw the charts....
