From a journalistic standpoint, I'm curious what you guys think of this, from the Daily Beacon, the Univ. of Tennessee's student newspaper: http://www.wbir.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=37511.
Should a newspaper avoid statements like this that could be potentially inflammatory toward a large portion of their readership, especially in the Bible Belt? Are there different standards for this sort of thing for a student paper rather than, say, the Knoxville News Sentinel? Was this purposefully offensive?
