Since more than half of my viewing choices seem to be ESPN options in my hotel I am watching until I go out to watch the NFL game.

Temple has moved early September home games before because of the High Holidays.

I just turned to this Temple game (I didn't realize it was on until I clicked on this thread) to see this coin toss and you could see as the captains walked out that there were maybe -- what 2,000 fans?

Which brings me to this point -- How do some of these schools afford to keep their programs open for business? I mean, my God it isn't like the MAC has a great television deal or something to supplement this kind of gate.

Oh goodie, ESPN is going to have Palmer and James work out with the home team strength coach and film it for a weekly segment.

That gives me yet another reason not to watch the Thursday night broadcast.

Oh damn, I forgot that Delta State and Arkansas Tech was the D-II game of the week on the NCAA's on-line site live streaming.

At least I have high school football and my college alma mater to watch this weekend to make up missing the Statemen vs. the Wonderboys.

Announced attendance at Temple last night was 15K. They might not have had that many there, but I did see quite a few students.

I expect Temple still has dreams of possibly being asked to return to the Big East on a full-time basis, perhaps during the next round of conference shakeups, and has to have I-A football for that to happen.

Al Golden has done a fantastic job there.

The only way the Big East takes them is if they join for all sports. Temple wasn't willing to do that before but they might now.
