I simply can't imagine what he and his family are going through right now.

Heap hits, kills daughter in driveway accident

When I was about 6, I laid in the driveway behind my mother's car because I saw one of my older bother's friends do it in a joking manner. Mom started to backup and my grandmother, who was on the porch, jumped up and got my mom's attention. I was 6 and didn't know any better. I would have moved, but I can't imagine what that did to my mother.

I can't even imagine. How horrible.

Our neighborhood was traumatized when I was 13 and our neighbor ran over his 3-year-old daughter's foot with the riding mower. She lost three toes. But that doesn't even compare to this.

After 17 years as a parent, I still get freaked out every time I'm leaving the house. We have a playground here named after a kid who died in this exact manner.

This one hits way too close.

After reading this story, when I left for work on Saturday and Sunday, I made damn sure our front door was closed all the way. Sometimes the screen door doesn't quite latch and my son pushes his way out. He's never out of sight, so we always catch him, but it still scared me ****less this weekend.

UNC Men's Lacrosse coach Joe Breschi had the same thing happen when he was coach at Ohio State. His wife backed their SUV over their son Michael.

Heartbreaking.
