Entourage 6/3

yeah, why are they calling it an all new season with only two weeks in between seasons? that's stupid.

i though this season was fine. entourage is still better than 99 percent of TV sitcoms (or half-hour dramas, whatever you want to call it) even if it's not as good as it was.

I have a strong suspicion that Medellin will bomb out.

I'm just glad this season is over. By far the worst of the three.

I don't know if I'm just burned out on it or I can't get into it after investing myself in the Sopranos for the hour before, but this show has lost a lot of its luster in my eyes.

This season is far from over.

Well, technically it is over. A new season starts June 17.
Seasons aren't separated by a fortnight.

I wouldn't go if it's all in Spanish. I have trouble with subtitles. Otherwise, I'm in.

Subtitles? Try watching "The Lives Of Others," this year's foreign Oscar winner.
Wife and I saw it on Spectravision, a 19-inch screen, and the wife was exhausted and figured she'd just drift off to sleep halfway through. She watched all the way to the end and couldn't stop talking about it the next day.
The movie's in German.
Does not matter.

According to HBO, they are. I had heard that the focus of the Entourage writers was shifted when HBO informed them last minute of the plan to break up season three. So, essentially, the writers were rushed into season three. I hope that's the case, because it just didn't hold my interest much this season.

Great, great movie. Definitely deserved Best Foreign Film.

They will break it up into three seasons so they can sell Season 3A, Season 3B, and Season 3C DVD's in November, each selling for $34.99 instead of the entire season for $34.99 like they have in the past.

LOVED that they used the Spanish version of "Hotel California" by the Gipsy Kinds in the close of this ep. They're in a hotel, in Cali, and there's the whole Spanish-language Medellin thing going on. Could there be a song more perfect?

Sometimes the little moments are the best ones.

The song just made me think of this guy.

Eight year olds, dude.

The Walsh character is so real, he makes me physically uncomfortable. You just squirm wondering what he's going to do next.

I wonder if there's anyone specific he's based on....

Just a guess... But he's probably based on Vincent Gallo...

I'm not sure I like the direction the show is going... I wouldn't have a problem with the movie bombing and then watching Vince struggle, but I don't think anyone wants to see him broke...

I'll be curious to see how they pull it off...

Good call.

A possible storyline: Drama's show becomes a megahit. So he ends up supporting the entourage for awhile. A Bizzaro sort of twist.

I have a feeling this is what will happen...

Filming in Colombia is a complete disaster...
Wally Balls is a complete nightmare as the director...
The shoot gets tons of bad publicity.
Vince comes back and can't get work (hinted at in the preview)
Vince wonders if his career is over...
Movie opens and does well... Back on top again...

I'd say that'd be a pretty good season. You're right - nobody wants to see Vince broke.
And I was a little sad to see the boys moving out and not living together, though the Drama-condo side plot was entertaining as well.

I was kind of enjoying the Turtle lovestory.

How cool would it be do get cast as an extra on this show? Make me Debi Mazar's assistant's assistant. Or Mrs. Ari's maid.

Hook me up, somebody! ;D

Or it could go...

Filming in Colombia is a complete disaster...
Wally Balls is a nightmare as the director...
Medillin bombs...
Ari drops Vince as a client...
Drama goes on Surreal Life...
The father of Turtle's hot girlfirend catches them together and slits his throat...
Sloan catches E flirting with someone else and commits a murder suicide.
Vince plays a homo in a "Straight to IFC" movie and the day before its release, which coincides with the release of Aquaman 3, he hangs himself...

Cue Perry Farrell and roll the credits...

Filming in Columbia is a mixed bag.
They get the thing shot, but Balls goes off the deep end leaving nobody to edit.
They run out of money.
Sloan ****s Balls.
At the 11th hour, Rob Reiner steps in and makes Medellín a romantic comedy.
Vince on top again.

Good call, Luggy. That's what I want to see--the Drama/Vinnie role reversal.
