He's not making it. Jim Plunkett has just as many rings and he's not in. Unlike the baseball Hall, the electorate is not New York-centric. The fairest summary of his career is that Eli Manning was an OK to slightly better than OK quarterback for most of a long career in which he had two superb playoff runs. That doesn't shriek Canton to me.

He’s never, ever even been considered a top 5 QB in the league. Barely top ten.

Roethlisberger (if he comes back), Rodgers and Matt Ryan will all pass him in 2021 or 2022, and Matthew Stafford has a shot if he can stay healthy for a few years.

Anyone who saw Super Bowl XLII with a neutral eye knows Justin Tuck deserved that MVP. Eli played well in those two Super Bowl wins, but in them, the Giants held an historic, then just plain outstanding offense to a total of 31 points.

I think it's more important who else can go in with Manning in five years. None of the sure-bet Hall of Fame QBs playing right now are retiring yet.

Not sure he gets in but I think that’s worth considering.
