JOB TITLE: Editor/Writer, Golfweek.com

POSITION SUMMARY: Do-it-all editor/writer in exciting, fast-paced 24/7 web environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Candidate must have excellent news judgment, be focused on both the casual and serious news reader and the Internet audience, and make smart decisions in a fast-paced environment. Must have strong copy editing and writing skills, and work well within a team. Must find new and creative ways to tell stories in a changing web environment. Knowledge of competitive golf is a must, as well as an interest in all levels of the game. A sense of creativity is extremely important.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Preferred candidates will have a bacherlor's degree in journalism or related field and a background in golf, sports reporting/editing, and experience working in a web environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: Must have a strong understanding of capabilities of Internet, excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others. Must be a fast learner. Knowledge of HTML and Photoshop a huge plus. This position requires night and weekend shifts and is based in Orlando, Fla.

Interviewed there before. Great group of people at Golfweek, and the web group is heavily int junior and college golf. If you don't know anything about the AJGA or college programs, good luck. That's their bread and butter . . . so don't have any dreams about covering Tiger if you get this.
 
But if you do manage to keep the job long enough, there may be the possibility of covering Charlie Axel Woods.
