Grandmother of local tennis player, complaining that we didn't cover her daughter's team all year, even when they won their own invitational. Said she noticed all of the "great" photos of the "girls golf team" in the paper.

Um, that was the girls soccer team. And then I e-mailed her the story of the invitational, which we covered.

golf, tennis, soccer, it's all the same.

All the same, and why I hate the spring sports season.

BUT, rarely played under the lights, my friend.

Reader: How come you didn't include Random High in your football preview?
Sports guy: We did.
Reader: No you didn't. I read through, front-to-back, and they aren't in there.
Sports guy: We did. It's on Page Whatever.
Reader: No it's not. I'm looking right at it.
Sports guy: Are you sure this is this year's preview? Are you sure this is even our paper?
Reader: Well, no, it's not your paper, it's the one across town.
Sports guy: We don't determine what they put in the paper, sir.
Reader: But you're both part of the Mainstream Media, aren't you?
