She was also in high school when the photos went viral.

True fact, Newport Harbor High.
Shortly thereafter, "CSI Miami" had an episode based on this. It was a pretty swimmer whose photo went around the world in 15 minutes. She wound up dead. Turned out that another girl killed her in a disagreement over a guy.
When I see news stories like this, I wonder how quickly it'll turn up in an episode of the current cop/lawyer shows.

The original Law & Order was the master at that. The 'Hipster Grifter' was a good one. Do any of the shows now still do 'ripped from the headlines'? With the appropriate disclaimer, of course.

Bring back the JoAnne Carner/Laura Davies look!

Watched the Womens' US Open just because I enjoy the USGA tournaments and promptly saw one Chinese national (Feng) and 6 S. Koreans in top 7. Was so sad, they had to show Lexi Thompson on 18 10 shots back to get to an American. Then I saw that the amateur was leading and she was delightful.

Then stayed to see S.H. Park in contention and remembered her as a bomber from last year. She will probably fade into the background like some other seemingly nondescript Koreans (Birdie Kim, InBee Park, etc.) but I'm hoping she lights it up because man she's got a beautiful swing; she mashes it out there 290 without great effort and a beautiful finish. She's my fav now.

Fair point. She was perfectly nice the one time I interacted with her but she isn't exactly the charismatic type off the course.

I meant charisma-wise; certainly she has won what 7 majors and an almost GS (although I think the 5 a year is a bit ridiculous.)
Why should that matter? Inside the ropes is what counts.
