I haven't checked the link, but it sounds like a panzarotti, which many people fry, although I prefer mine baked.
Baked is more like a pizza turnover.

At Attilio's, they bake their panzarottis.
Now, please go eat one and tell me how good it was.
Just had leftover Chinese, sorry.
Saddest day of late was when Franco's closed in Haddon Twp.

When did it close? That's a dark day for the PVI student body.
And please get a panzarotti from Attilio's some time in the next week and tell me all about it. I'm eating South Jersey food vicariously through you.
Closed within the past year, they got taxed out of the place. They have a smaller place in Haddonfield now. The last night they were open, the wife and I ordered about 20 panzarottis (they were selling them at 1970 prices or something) and froze some.
If my errands get me out near Attillo's, I will stop in.

OK, but walk a Canadian ice cream-loving blond around it ... deep-fried ice cream ... doesn't it melt?

You hard freeze the ice cream, lightly batter it and fry REALLY quickly.

And it gets pretty soft.

Hmmmm, that sounds like it's worth a try. Jury still out on deep-fried pizza, turkey and just about anything else ...

Deep-fried Twinkies ... a.k.a. heart attack on a stick ... are ****ing amazing.

I just can't imagine how deep fried snacks like that, or candy bars, could be tasty. Makes me wanna yak.

i was repulsed by the thought of deep fried candy bars until i had one at a state fair and it was delicious. disgustingly fattening and something i'd eat at most once a year, but delicious.

so i'd give deep fried pizza a try but i wouldn't be optimistic.

flash, have you ever tasted deep fried turkey? it's not like fried chicken. it's just really moist. delicious.

If it's deep-fried, you know the Bloomsburg Fair will be all over it by next September. ;D

Deep-fried Oreos ... deep-fried veggies ... deep-fried cheese cubes ... deep-fried macaroni-and-cheese cubes ... this just follows.
