Did a search, nothing came up. Don't know how this isn't a DB, but anyway David Blaine has been hanging upside down for like ever and if that isn't enough to make him go blind, or die, he plans on catching a bullet in his mouth tomorrow morning on TV.

So basically, America is going to see someone get shot dead on live television tomorrow.

Thoughts?

He always does this ****. I liked him when he did card tricks and levitated. Now that he sits in ice or hangs upside down, he's not a "street magician" he's a freak show.

basically he is just hanging upside down right now.

NEW YORK (AFP) — Illusionist and daredevil David Blaine began a nearly three-day stint Monday hanging upside down over New York's Central Park, in what may be his toughest stunt yet.

Blaine, 35, was hoisted by his heels over the park's Wollmann ice rink, and was to stay there, dangling for 60 hours from a wire, until late Wednesday.

The magician, who has previously spent 72 hours encased in ice, 44 days without food in a plexiglass box, a week under water, and been buried alive, told AFP that being inverted for three days was his hardest challenge.

"This is the most difficult for sure. The others, you could get into them soon after the start, but this one is tough from the get-go," Blaine said after being lowered to head level for an interview.

Dressed in black T-shirt and grey trousers, the short, tanned and bearded magician looked at ease as he surveyed New York from the unusual angle.

He was attached at the torso and at two steel clips linking his boots to the wire. For two nights and three hot early autumn days he will neither eat or sleep.

Not sure why this made me laugh out loud, but it did.

Did no one watch this tonight?

The finale was a major letdown, but man, his street stuff is still so incredible.

A couple of highlights.

- He has asks a group of people if they play the lottery. He then asks six of them to each give him a number. They each shout one out. He pulls out wallet, removes a lottery ticket from it and it contains all their numbers.

- He has a girl pick a card (any card!). She then takes said card and she places it into the middle of the deck. He then tells her to cut it and complete the cut (putting the other half on top). She cuts the deck and then she flips part of the deck. Her card flips over on top. At no point did Blaine ever touch the deck (he also pulled this one on Orlando Bloom).

- He has John Mayer sign a card. He puts the card into the middle of the deck. He then asks Mayer to name a suit other than the one on his card. He presses the deck together and you see it getting smaller (in thickness). He then exposes the cards to show only the cards of the suit named by Mayer and Mayer's signed card.

Some tricks I have guesses as to how he does them, but others, man, I just have no friggin' clue how they're possible.

the levitation in the street is a trip. but why does his belly hurt so bad afterward?

My buddy used to levitate a dollar bill in high school. The funny thing was, however, he couldn't speak while doing it. He couldn't have the fishing line falling from his mouth.

How he did that trick, I'll never know.

It's a world of illusions. Thank you. Thank you.

Anyone else kind of hoping that this kid eventually dies from something extremely boring? I mean, it would be such an awesome letdown.

I'm thinking rabies.

He has those pants, too.

Oh, boy.

WTF was that?!? His "death dive" was little more than a very non-extreme bungee jump, and then as he's reeled back up the ABC host cooing "Oh, that's amazing! He's ascending back up into the heavens!" Puh-lease.

I'm still trying to figure who pulled off the better stunt in New York this week, Blaine or McCain.
