Paxton continues to consolidate its copy editing and page layout functions in Owensboro, Ky. ... the next victim is High Point ... they were given the word earlier in the week that all layout would move to Kentucky on Jan. 9 ... seven deskers will be laid off on that date ... no one in sports affected (they're down to three staffers anyway, and all were doing split writing/layout duties) ...
