Congrats to my friends across the aisle.

The 5 things I would like to see ASAP are :

1 -- Raise Taxes - both personal and property

2 -- Pull all troops from Iraq and cut military spending

3 - put maniditory 1% federal tax on all internet transactions. Money would be earmarked to pay
down federal debt

4 - put in fuel consumption tax to bring gas over $3 . The idea would be to promote fuel
conservation .

5- Universal Health care within the next 2 years. Money used from fuel consumption tax.

Actually, a few subpoenas here and there, and I'm OK.

No worries. Already in the works, Boomer. The bills are pre-filed and will come for a vote the minute the Dems are sworn in.

The GOP is on board, fearful of drowning in the tidal wave of disapproval.

Oh, and we're going to make spelling a focus of the No Child Left Behind kerikulum.

Ace - I have high expectations. The democrats have been planning for this for some time so there must have some stuff ready to go.

You bring up an interesting topic -The No Child Left Behind Law - I think history will show that it is one of the worst laws ever created in how it negatively effects most children.

Somehow, I just know this will end badly for me.

What are you talking about? Perhaps you are unaware that the curriculum required for that federal mandate resulted in sales of millions of textbooks for friends of the administration while freezing out others.

What more do you want from a law? It's perfect.
