after this upcoming season...
Also not buying that Jon Scheyer is the leading candidate. That's some attempt to keep the rumors at a dull roar.
Welcome to the job, Nina King.
I'm not buying it, either ... but who is going to want to replace the winningest coach in the history of the sport? The inside-the-family hire -- like the one on which Chapel Hill settled two months ago -- might crystallize as the most palatable option. (Would have been Wojo, but the last two years at Marquette were headed toward a Bob Dukiet-esque trajectory.)
Massive.
Shashevsky may have the foulest ****ingest cocksuckingest piece of ****-****tiest-**** mouth on the planet -- a high school coach I covered in Vermont once said that watching the Duke men's hoops team practice is no day in the park -- but Duke Men's Basketball on his watch was a ****ing THING of things in my lifetime.
By and large I saw the past his prime tail end of Dean Smith's career. But I saw just about all of K's career at Duke.
It will be a ****ing trip to see someone else head coaching Duke.
Was Gminski on that '78 team?
That Torres HOT TAKE was pretty damn idiotic.
If so, there will be no dropoff in the asshole aspect of Duke basketball. Hurley has totally embraced K's entitled attitude and "I just smelled something bad" expression, while generally getting regularly outcoached by his Pac-12 opposites. It's going to be Bobby Hurley.
Unless Duke wants to have its version of Matt Doherty.
