Changes coming to CFL rules

Can someone explain to me why a lineman yeeting a kick down the field in the middle of a live play is a good idea? Is that another goofy CFL rule that might somehow get you exactly three points?

It’s an “open-field kick,” sometimes called an on-side kick. The kicking team can recover it without the defending team touching it only if the recovering player is behind the kicker when the kick is attempted.

Can you advance it if you recover it? Or kick it for a field goal or rouge?

It's all aboot the defence as the first quarter ends, Montreal leading by the delightful score of 7-1!

I wonder who suggested to Machine Gun Kelly that he wear sleeves.

And I'll tell you ... he's doing a better halftime show than most recent SB performers. He's having a bit of a moment.

One thing about the Riders winning the Grey Cup: For a short while, it makes people forget they live in Saskatchewan. Sort of like the Green Bay of the CFL. Hot as hell in the summer, cold as hell in the winter. And the wind never stops blowing.

My cousins Doug, Steve and Marilyn Ector were born and raised on a wheat farm in Elbow, at the corner of Lake Diefenbaker. Rooting for the Roughriders was definitely one of the highlights of their year.

When Marilyn had her mobile home in Florida, she'd be in shorts and a T-shirt, no matter how cold -- because it was at least 75 degrees F warmer than Saskatchewan.

The one CFL tradition I know anything about.
