I got 19 right and basically hadn't heard of the other 20 cities. Love to see what our friends in the Great White North would score ...

I had never heard of Stratford, PEI. It's the THIRD largest municipality in the province and it's got 7,000 souls.

Didn't even think of Lunenburg as the 3rd largest in Nova Scotia.

Missed a few others, mostly in the NWT & Nunavut.

And then there's the whole "St. John" vs "St. John's" conundrum.

Got 24. Had no luck with BC after Vancouver, drew a total blank on Nunavut. Took forever to think of the third largest in Ontario even though I'm sitting no more than a mile north of it. Never heard of Stratford PEI.

I only got Mississagua because once, when I played one of the NHL games on PS2, I moved the Senators from Ottawa to Mississagua and called them Dolphins, complete with a dolphin screech every time the team scored a goal.

Yes, I'm a dork.

That would still be better than the IceDogs when they played there.

Stumped mostly on the third largest in some provinces/territories/

Sirs, Madames,

24 ... didn't get Mount Pearl even though I've been there. Victoria not being there threw me. Thought Gatineau would be there.

o-<

I didn't get CBS and that used to be the HIV capital of Canada, back in the day.

i've always wondered why canadians are called canucks. or is it just one region of canada?

It is, by origin, an American pejorative for 'Canadian.' But in true Canuck fashion, we adopt that which mocks us, own it and celebrate it.

thanks for the insight.

there's probably a canadian equivalent to canuck for americans, right?

Missed two in Newfoundland/NWT/Nunavut/Yukon (should have got Dawson)

Also missed Lunenberg, site of those old annoying aspirin commercials ("73 per cent in Lunenberg....")

Probably Yankee.

And I only got 24 right - damn, I suck. Just like friend, I was rattled by Victoria not being there in B.C.

Forehead slappers: Calgary (big duh), Halifax (slightly softer duh), Prince Albert (stayed there once) and Inuvik (the only other city I know of in the NW Territories)

I also was surprised by Victoria's absence.

I'm very disappointed in you.

Yeah, well ... in Nova Scotia, they fed us people from Orillia in those commercials.
