I read the first few pages, and a few posts made me laugh.

My two pennies: Drive the hour, buy her dinner and tell her you don't want to see her.

On the drive back, roll your window down all the way and listen to really loud music. Buy the ticket, take the ride.

Tom Petty?

NOW I'M FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE FAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLINNN'

That was the clearest post by Moddy on this thread, what with all the tweet and text speak.
Hey, Moddy is a big boy. He can believe what I posted or not. It's not a big deal.

Apparently it is, or you wouldn't have replied with:

I dare. What are you implying?
Big buck, I wanted to see how far our moderator was going to go. I saw how far he went.
Nothing more, nothing less.

As I explained in an earlier thread, I have a Bishon Frise. His name is Versace and he's a cute little ****er. Great chick magnet. Anyway, Versace does his business in three neat little terds. He's very consistent. Since he is basically a house dog, I do have to clean up after him. Well I got liquored up the night before Valentine's Day and really thought about a lot of the **** this ***** put me through. Versace wanted to go out and as I was staggering to find my keys, I noticed the ring box that I was going to give her had we not broken up.
I let Versace do his thing and the thought came to me, why should I be the only one feeling like ****? Misery loves company, or so they say.
So, that's when I got the idea of replacing the ring with a terd.
The next day, Valentine's Day, I got dressed up and went to her gig. We talked for a few moments, gave her a kiss, and she kissed me back, and put my present in her hand.
I quickly headed for the elevator because I didn't know what she would do.
To make a long story short, she told me that it was a present she will never forget. My reply was I'm happy that it will always have a spot in your cold heart, *****.

You have a Bishon named Versace? He's only a chick magnet because chicks think you're gay ;)

Yeah, I actually found that the most disturbing part of the story. And I bet it's the one part that's actually true.
Arnie, the entire story is true. And I'm not gay. I usually have larger dogs but Versace was a gift from a friend who couldn't keep him any longer.
I'm sure I'm going to regret asking the following questions, but what the hell, I'm curious.

Drip, when you were putting together your ex's gift and later giving it to her, did you have a moment where you might have had second thoughts about it? Do you ever wonder if you should have gone about breaking up with her in a different, less canine-fecally way?
Hockey, I had second thoughts and tried to give her a way out during our conversation. I did everything I could to steer her away from my giving her a box of ****.
It didn't happen and she got a ring box of **** that she proudly showed off to her coworkers, who also thought it was a ring.
And Hockey, I wasn't sad any longer.

Drippy,

What in the world did the gf do to deserve that. Did you feel dirty for picking up poop and putting a cherry on it?

Either:
1. Drip is telling the truth. He's got issues.
2. Drip is lying. He's got issues.

Does he really deserve more analysis than this?
Number One is right response. I've got issues. But I am to trying find answers.

It was just a relationship that went terribly wrong, mostly on her end. She became something she has since admitted she didn't want to become. No, I didn't feel dirt. I pick up after my dog, even if I walk him on the street. The cherry personalized it because she loves cherries in her drinks. She won't touch a drink unless it has a cherry or two in it.

Drip, you are a crazy sonuvabitch.
I'm not crazy. Just thought of a perfect gift. You have to admit, it definitely will end a relationship. I wanted and got closure for some of the **** she put me through.

Or, you could have told her how miserable she made you feel and told her it's over and walked away with your head up and dignity intact.

I missed the whole cherry on top part to this.

Dude, few things leave me speechless. This is one of those things.

Terrific. Has the restraining order been lifted yet?

Drips present is about the closest thing to an Upper Deck that anyone of us has given.

I hearby declare Drip's **** box, the SportsJournalists.com Upper Deck.

I can give you a unicorn, if you want it. About as real as the ****box.

Gang, again, all of this is very old. It was covered in another thread and I'm sorry but I forgot its title.
And Cran, no restraining order was or is needed.
