If the driver of the SUV had simply let law enforcement do its job, none of this would have happened. But no, he had to go all rogue on everyone ... honestly, the nerve of some people.
Tend to agree with that. In the end it's a case of road rage. Guy in SUV pissed off at bikers slowing him down says something or perhaps gives them Bronx salute. Bikers decide to accept challenge and get their bikes in front of his truck. Guy panics, takes off and hits biker. The insurance issue will be interesting. In effect he caused the accident even if biker stopped short. As a driver you are responsible for what's in front of you.
I have to wonder where the police were and why no one called them. That's a well traveled highway and chase seemed to go on for a while. The entire stretch has camera's. Did no one see this going on.
Landrover man made an amateur mistake by getting off at 178st st. He should have headed across bridge to NJ.
The chase reminded me of the motorcycle chase in Coogans Bluff which ironically is right in that area.
