yeah, i was surprised how nice everyone was. there were a few spats, but all in all it was worth it.

Even spnited?

S-P is a super guy. Why do I get the impression some of you think his perceived board persona makes him some kind of grumpy or bad guy? Anyone who thinks that couldn't be more wrong about him.

Yeah, he'll probably bonk me in the head for saying that about him, but it stands.

Dammit Sam, you're killing me.
What can I say? Spnited ... the only man I'd leave JR for. :D

I am overwhelmed...
or you have this thing for guys who are about to turn 60 :D
Hey ... I'm waiting for you and JR to pick the date for the big celebration so I can book my vacation! And I have a thing for guys who've seen enough of life and the world to know what matters in the long run. :D

If I show up, can I get a guarantee that I won't get punched, stabbed, shot or worse? Maybe I need a bodyguard instead of a driver.
As a visitor to two of the four outings, I can say that I've yet to see anyone at these gatherings with an agenda or foul intention of any sort.
Nope, it was just a lot of somewhat loud, somewhat crazy people. Oh, and lots of hangovers.
We had PizzaPizza for those needing midnight munchies and Tim Horton's in the morning in Toronto. I wish I had been able to make the trip to Seattle.
I'm still pissed that I wasn't able to make The Toronto Outing and the HHOF.

If I do go, and I bring some DVDs, will anyone want to watch a couple episodes with me?
Scrubs, yes.

well, i was gonna say i'd give my left nut to meet spnited, but now that he's back from vacation i'm not sure if i want to give him that compliment.

I think I'd love to go to a Nats'-Orioles series just to see Moddy's reaction. That or see BYH laugh it up.

it's a lot of fun going to an outing, a lot more fun than a nats or orioles game.

The dates are the final weekend in June, the 26-28. Working with some hotels now. Mike (if that's his real name) was kind enough to look into some hotels in the surrounding areas, which I appreciate greatly. The rates were better but not that much better. I'd rather pay 169 and be within walking distance of the stadium and Inner Harbor and Little Italy than pay 139 and not be. But I understand others may not feel the same so I will probably secure one Inner Harbor area hotel and one outskirts hotel.

Webby, I should have a new Moddy Mobile by then. I'd be honored to have you in my ride but we shouldn't have to ride anywhere.

As for the other questions, all are welcome. It's a pretty friendly and open group. Board business is not to be discussed, in any way, shape or form.

I am looking into tickets. I e-mailed my contact, but it's the weekend, so he probably won't get back to me until at least Monday. For what it's worth, he got me some tickets to a Royals game one weekend when I was in KC and they were about 20 rows up, between home plate and first base. Now, we got those tickets for free, and I'm sure we'll have to pay for these, but he might be able to get us a decent discount and decent seats.

I've been to an Orioles-Nationals game at Camden Yards and I was *loudly* cheering for the Nationals.

Only "grief" I got for it was from this one guy, and all he did was say, "make sure you mark that 6-5" when Miguel Tejada threw out a Nats runner at third.

I'd love to see the Nationals put the broom to the Blowrioles now and forever. ****abuncha Peter Angelos.

We had fun with Os fans at the series at Nats Park last year. They were giving us Nats dumbasses hell one section over and then Ronnie Belliard hit one out to win it. They were one strike away. It was fun, not some of the nasty **** you hear about in some places. Of course, Os and Nats fans don't cheer for a team that's good enough to be nasty about.
I'll swear on my mama's grave I picked the last weekend in June, if they were home, before skeds came out. It's just the best weekend for the most people. A happy accident (for some of us at least) that it is the Nats.

I saw three of the games between the teams last year. Two were good, entertaining games. Most folks don't go for the baseball anyway.
For the earlier arrivals, I'm catching Nats-Red Sox in Washington on Thursday on my way up.

Moddy,
I really want to come, we'll see how things are as we near the date.
You and I will be the only Nats fans at Camden Yards.
Who knows, maybe you can meet your favorite manager.

I'll prolly be there. At at most other Nats home games this season. Hopefully.

I'll be attending the entire Nats-Cubs series, whenever that is.

I just checked on Delta and there are plenty of good SkyMiles seats going to BWI. I might actually make this one.
