I was kind of shocked when I found out he's 60, though. I'm getting old... it didn't seem that long ago to me that he was playing. He also has a youthfulness about him that makes him seem younger than that.

Not the greatest broadcaster but a true ambassador of the game.

I wholeheartedly agree that the man is a class act. And I wish someone with medical knowledge could explain exactly what the story is. Bobby and his family continue to sound so hopeful, that gives me reason to feel positive about recovery. The stories I've read haven't talked about current treatments. Will he be getting chemo and does he have a good chance? I would like to think that way but so many of the stories are painting a grim picture, it makes me worry.

Somebody help me. Farmer, did you say you're living with a brain tumor or did I misunderstand? If you are, good luck, I hope everything works for you. And is it your feeling that Murcer has a good chance?

Heard Bill Madden, who had talked to Murcer, on XM Radio.

Madden says it's malignant, it has spread, and they're discussing experimental treatments.
