My add is Cox was mentioned briefly in Ball Four as a guy the Yankees pushed hard as a future star, but didn’t pan out.

I love that Bobby Cox was "ejected" by the umps the day he threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

I saw an interview with him in the 2010s in which he pronounced Toronto "Toron-o." Respected the fact that he learned how to say it like a proper Canadian.

I thought it was Tronno.

I respect Cox but as a Braves fan via WTBS in 80’s and 90’s, one title was soooo disappointing. Of course is it random when the perhaps greatest starting rotation doesn’t dominate? Then again Braves didn’t hit much, other than Lemke.
