Just an FYI:

If anyone lives near Brea, Calif. in Orange County, and wants to see a piece of history, there's an exhibit coming up on Oct. 27 to celebrate the old barnstorming days and, in particular, a baseball game that was held in the 1920s featuring Walter Johnson and Babe Ruth.

There is a celebration commemorating the exhibit's opening at the Brea City Hall Park and Brea Museum. The celebration starts at 11 a.m. and there is an open house and refreshments. The address, if anyone is interested, is 495 S. Brea Blvd.

Buckdubs is already waiting in line.

You bet your ass I am. :D

I'm not in Brea, but it's close enough for me to zip over for this and make it to work on time that afternoon. So anyone else wants to drop by, come see me.

FWIW, I found this item a little bit ago to post on the thread ...

Thanks for posting that, Claws. The history of baseball, any of it, never ceases to impress and draw me in ever further than I already am. What a game.
