"Join free and change your life today."

In these economic times, it amazes me the levels we'll go to to make a buck. While they're not dragging people into affairs, I'd like to see them look into the faces of children of their clients and say: "We're sorry we're trying to destroy your family."

And their ads actually sold during the Super Bowl.

1. This has been around for years, so it has nothing to do with the economic times.

2. It was my understanding that the ad was rejected by the Super Bowl and didn't run.

As for the site, it does indeed suck.

I watched the whole game and don't remember seeing it.

Another great Canadian success story.

This isn't a new company --it's been around since 2002--and from what I've read, the Super Bowl ads only ran in Texas which, coincidentally, is the company's fastest growing market.

The NFL turned down the spots which created more buzz than any ad could probably have generated.

This is most certainly a D_B. Stay tuned while I find old thread. About a year old if I remember correctly.

And I accidentally posted that link in the old thread and inadvertently bumped it. Oops.

I heard about this, but only before and after the Super Bowl when word got around that their commercial was rejected. I wonder if any of the employees have wives... ::)

A link to a post on a thread from last October about an entirely different subject is hardly a d_b.

It was mentioned on the thread. Like the 10th post. Couldn't remember why the site stuck out to me.

Turns out, I'm the one who posted it on there.

Another coincidence -- the show "Cheaters" was based, for the most part, in Dallas. I smell synergy!

Ashley herself, perhaps?
There is no Ashley

But, they're gearing up for their big day--Valentine's with a new spokesperson

They've hired Sarah Symonds as their new spokesperson and relationship expert. Notorious
"other woman" and "affair expert" Symonds' first duty as spokeswoman for the
infidelity dating site AshleyMadison.com, is to invite attached but lovelorn
Canadians to celebrate Valentine's Day by re-kindling their intimacies with
other attached adults in search of romance.

Symonds is (in)famous for having an affair with Jeffrey Archer.

So in a way you could say these people are looking for significant others, then.

The technical term is "side poon."

My god, we can't hamper the economy.

If everyone has an affair and buys for their spouses and their side poon, the economy grows. Retailers jump for joy.

That's what it's about, fellas.

Mouths water in anticipation on Wall Street, as does the folks at the flower shop next door to it.

Yes, analysts are eagerly awaiting Ashley Madison's next quarterly report, bellwether of the economy that it is.

Sometimes your fantasies are offensive, but other times they're just weird.

It's not Ashley Madison's next quarterly reports I'm talking about.

It's the retailers who don't give a **** who or how many lovers you have as long as you're buying more chocolates than last year.
