These two were like rabbits: in the classroom, at the teacher's mothers' house and at her own home when hubby and the kids were away....

Can I introduce to you Upward Bound's Teacher of the Year, 2004 and 2005.

Before poin aneurysms.

My favorite part is that she turned 29 today. That's an awkward moment at the birthday party. Even better if it happened in the middle of the song, or while they were cutting the cake.

I'm sure parts of the student were indeed Upward Bound.
Sadly, it wasn't his brain.

I love the fact her T-shirt in the photo provided by the police says "STANDARDS & TRADITION" on it.

Doesn't the National Education Association protect teachers like this when they can negotiate "accusations" that haven't had criminal charges filed and just send them to the next school, where more often than not they usually do the same thing?

Who knows? But I'm sure you'll think so just the same.

Maybe this deserves its own thread, but here's a male who may fall in that category:

These are the sort of things that happen when you put 25-year-olds teaching a group of 17-year-olds. Sad, but true, in a day when self-discipline has gone completely out the window.

OR 28 and 16. She's now 29. Almost twice his age.

Good work, Marky Mark.

This is pathethic. How many cases of this have we seen this year? Over the past five years? If these are the kind of people that colleges and universities across the country are putting into classroom's, there needs to be something done.

I wouldn't be surprised if the numbers were fairly static over the years. We just hear about it more now due to the 24-hour news cycle.

Agreed. There weren't blogs solely devoted to these cases even five years ago.

I'm guessing many of these teachers, though, would at least know how to pluralize the word classroom.

Good point. But just to say that we don't hear about it doesn't necessarily say it hasn't happened, either.

Take steroids in sports, for example. Steroids wasn't really in the news as much in the past as it is today with many people (i.e. A-Rod, Sosa, etc.) having come out and said they've done them.

Obviously you need to take into account the availability of such drugs and the testing procedures available then, but that's a whole different story.

No, no, no...this kind of stuff is up...way up. Sex, in general, is so much more prevalent in culture. Technology gets an assist, too. How many text messages took the place of the actual conversations the two would have had to have in order to reach the point they did?

I would agree. Seems to me like this is much more prevalent today.
