It’s a majority-minority school (unless the magnet program really flipped things around) and the oldest in the city that was originally for African Americans. Not surprising.

The TBI refuses to call this as a school shooting.
Only the student who brought a gun on campus was shot and killed by the cop he shot - before shooting anyone else - so that makes it totally different, I guess.

It’s definitely a school shooting but I won’t call it a mass shooting as a large number of media outlets have been doing.
