Ok, so I figure I'll give this a shot, even if I have no idea if it's ever been started before. It's a little more time consuming than word association, but let the verbal thread battle begin. I kept reading the name Ken Whisenhunt and thinking it has a nice balance of consonants and vowels, and it might be fun to see what else it could be.

Ken Whisenhunt = "He knew this nun," or "He knew nun ****"

Of course, Mike Tomlin comes out to be "Mom, I tinkle"

Cole Hamels = "***s call me"

Barack Obama has a very unfriendly mix of letters, so this works better. Of course, it yields the word "partisan", which is nice and fitting. So, initially I've come up with...
