OK, the subject line says it all.
I got a $30 Amazon GC for my b-day last week and have no idea what to get.
So before I leave for work, I hope my fellow SportsJournalists.commers can come up with some good choices.
It doesn't have to be a DVD or music or a book.
It can be anything from the great web retailer.
Have some fun with this.
And thanks.

Get something you can return for cash at Target. ;D[Mizzou/]

I was going to start a thread for this very thing ... one-year anniversary at this job and I got a $50 gift certificate through American Express (don't sweat, I've already gotten one pay raise, too). What to spend it on?

I'm thinking step 1 books for my little man (he's 3 and I'm trying to teach him to read) and either a DVD or two of the Backyardigans or classic Tom and Jerry cartoons (both of which he loves).

For you patchs? Have a kid? Wife? Girlfriend? Need to do some apologizing or sucking up? We need more details.

My little boy loves Scooby Doo.
Bought Scooby Doo, Seasons 1 and 2 (25 epsisodes and four discs) on half.com for $25. Best vacation investment I ever made.

It's been years since I'd seen some of those old, ultraviolent Tom and Jerry cartoons from the '40s and '50s. And you know what? They're still freaking funny.

NFSW? Ummmmm, unless you work in a sex toy factory, I would say yes.

hookers and smack

probably couldn't do both on $30.

hooker would probably rub one off for you for $25, and the smack would set you back 15 or 20.

My idea.........have Felicity rub one off for $25, go to Taco Bell, grab 3 softshelled tacos, a 40 of Colt .45......have a blast.

That's because you're a stickler for quality. I'm quite sure a fella could score both for $30. You just need to lower your standards and make a pre-emptive appointment for VD treatment.

Go to Borders.
Get 'The Historian' by Elizabeth Kostova and ask out the cute Goth chick who works at the store.

$30 worth of lanyards and name tags for the Toronto gathering. ::)

Ha ha!
I would need Staples for that.
Still, not a bad idea.
Appreciate the help.
BTW, I have 2 kids but they have a lot of toys, books and computer games.
This is for me.
Maybe the new David Gilmour or Paul Simon CD?
Hmm?
