Just saw it on Comcast. Deal is for six years, no terms released. I'd say at least $12-15 guaranteed with backloaded roster bonuses and salary like Philly usually does with everyone. I like it. Add a big running back and the offense is set.

Now it times to address the defense.

Re: Eagles get Kevin Curtis

He was a nice third receiver with the Rams. Good pickup.

Re: Eagles get Kevin Curtis

I still don't think the Eagles should have let Donte leave.

$30 mill (could go to 33 million), 6 years, 9.5 mill guaranteed.

Re: Eagles get Kevin Curtis

I wonder how Millen let this one slip out of his fingers ::)

Wow now I like the deal even more. That's nothing compared to what other so-so players were getting. And Curtis is a guy who did pretty well playing behind Tory Holt and Isacc Bruce. Now he'll get a chance to start. Looking good.

Neither does he.

Because Millen's eye for talent thought Shawn McDonald was a better player than Curtis.

Or maybe, just maybe, he'll do something smart this time and draft Calvin Johnson. (You couldn't really do that with Roy Williams, Furrey and then you signed Curtis).

Nor I. He was a great receiver for the Birds.
great receiver? ranked 90th in the NFL in receptions in his one year with the Eagles

good receiver

You can't do that anyway.

If Millen drafts one more wideout with his No. 1 pick, the guys in white coats are going to come looking for him.

Re: Eagles get Kevin Curtis

Im happy with this signing, not exstatic, but happy. I wish they kept Stallworth. Now we need a LB. Ron Dayne was in today, and Joe Banner said on WIP that they will make a decision either today or tommorrow on him.

That's a win-win situation then. Lions get rid of Millen AND get one of the biggest impact players in the draft.

Seriously, tho, why do I get the feeling Joe Thomas will be like Tony Mandarich and Calvin Johnson will be like Barry Sanders?

Wow. Calvin Johnson, Roy Williams, and Mike Furrey? Mike Martz would have a field day.

Where have I heard that before?

Oh yeah, Williams, Williams and Rogers.

True, but Mike Williams is no Calvin Johnson.

I benefitted from having Curtis on my fantasy league team and he had a great playoff game two years ago but I still prefer Stallworth. Isn't Curtis more of a slot guy?

I still think he was a good fit. It's too bad they let him go.

One would hope not.

Re: Eagles get Kevin Curtis

Kevin Curtis scored the second highest Wonderlic score ever. Who honestly thought he'd sign with the Lions?

Go Aggies!
