About what are you a snob?

I'm also a music snob.

When I drive, I decide what gets played and what doesn't. Don't like it, you can walk.

Right you are, sir. I also have a thing about having new music ready when the CD ends. If it's not ready to go, I shake my head in disgust. My ex-girlfriend is pretty good about it, too, but it took work. Every time she misses, I hear, "I'm not Jeff, OK? But I'm getting better."

It's all about proper planning, people.

Hotels.

And I control the music when I drive. That doesn't make me a snob. That's just a basic. When I'm not driving, I have no say in the tunes.

Dollar stores.

They are a pox on society and I refuse to frequent them. My girlfriend gives me a lot of crap about that, but I don't care. If I wanted something ****tily made that actually cost more than a dollar (which seems to defeat the purpose of calling it a dollar store) then I would go to Wal-Mart. Wait, I won't shop there either.

Anyway, I like to buy stuff that is made with quality and where the dredges of society aren't necessarily shopping with me.

College football. I'm an SEC snob.

Preach it, brother Batman.

I'm a barbeque snob, especially barbeque sauce. My in-laws probably think I'm an asshole because I bring a good bottle over for their cookouts instead of just eating what Kraft or KC Masterpiece **** they have in the fridge, but so be it.

Pizza

Nothing that comes from a chain. Nothing that comes frozen or can be bought in a supermarket.
Only from the neighborhood guy.

Beer. Music. Will NOT shop at Wal-Mart and have driven six miles all the way across town, past the Wal-Mart to hit Target.

Fitness, working out and the trappings thereof.

Grammar, punctuation and spelling.

Geez, I'm kind of a douche, aren't I?

Kind of. :D

Oxymoron.

And Angola, I gotta admit, having met you, you just ooze quality.

Just because I swear excessively, drink too much, stick my hand down my pants in public and yell a lot, does not mean I will shop at a dollar store goddammit.

We love you anyway!

TV. I'll turn my nose up at any reality shows, and any "news" show that features entertainment gossip. That does not always go over well when I visit the folks, who have become hooked on reality TV and celeb gossip shows.

I thought that was a fairly universal rule, driver picks the music.

Yeah, I think it is. If I'm driving, I pick the music, but of course I try to pick something that everyone in the car will enjoy listening to. If everyone in the car agrees on a request, that usually works.

I'm rapidly becoming a stadium seat snob, when I can afford to be one. If I'm going to schlep out of state to take in a night of MLB or NHL, what's another $20 to keep me out of nosebleed city?

Oh, and Publix is turning me into a grocery store snob.

Movies. I think I know more about them than 99 percent of the people I know and 95 percent of the people I meet.

I like the fact that if they ever made a movie version of "Name that Tune," I could name damn near any movie within the first three seconds of it being on, even if I haven't seen it.

I like that I can recognize many composers' music without having to see the credits (and not just John Williams).

And I like that I once tried to coax eight of my friends to play as a team against me in the game "Scene it?" and their response was "Let's play Cranium!"

That's what's great about this site. There are several posters who see as many, if not more, movies than I do and can speak intelligently about them without saying things like, "But Brad Pitt looked so hot in 'Meet Joe Black!'" or "Tom Green was hilarious in that movie about getting fingered!"
