Re: Aaron Hernandez questioned in homicide

Man, one guy on the shelf and one guy in the clink? Tebow's going to OWN the tight end spot!

Re: Aaron Hernandez questioned in homicide

The Greg Bedard hire already pays dividends for SI

Re: Aaron Hernandez questioned in homicide

Bedard's been all over it.

Re: Aaron Hernandez questioned in homicide

Belichick took chances on two injury prone tight ends who both had maturity problems. They played brilliantly for about 1 1/2 seasons, and Belichick was lauded for it.

Let's see if the other shoe drops now.

Re: Aaron Hernandez questioned in homicide

An injury-prone player is a player who has a lot of injuries. Both players have missed significant time in each of their pro seasons because of injuries. That's about as straightforward as it gets.

Your post is a wicked pissah, though.

Exactly. There are plenty of injury-prone athletes who are in good shape and do what they can to protect themselves. Maybe it is bad luck. Maybe it is something physical that they can't control.

Rhody, you are welcome to insist on not calling those guys injury prone. You are wrong, especially in Gronkowski's case, but you're welcome to your incorrect opinion.

It's clear from this post you just hate the Patriots and would rather spout off at the mouth using lazy hyperbole.
Hernandez wasn't and isn't injury prone. He tested positive for weed, which dropped his draft stock. He sat the last two games of the regular season in 2011 to make sure he was 100 percent for the playoffs and nearly had his ankle snapped in half last year.
Gronk missed his junior season with a back injury, which scared teams off. He came in and by his second season was the best TE in football. He nearly had his ankle snapped in half in the AFC championship game and managed to play two weeks later. He broke his forearm last year, came back early and somehow managed to land on it on his first play back and break it again.
I wouldn't call either injury prone. That title is reserved for people who suffer from injuries from not taking care of themselves - muscles pulls and the such - or stupidly putting themselves at risk, a la Vick, Big Ben, RGIII deciding to not protect themselves from getting killed.
But label them injury prone. Fine. By your definition, anyone who's missed a game is injury prone, so that's great.

Deep derp fanboy derp.

Re: Aaron Hernandez questioned in homicide

How could Hernandez not be a suspect? His car, his house. I'm sure The Staties are saying one thing but thinking another for now.

I wonder if ESPN will bring in their new NFL commentator -- Ray Lewis, to discuss the
story.

Re: Aaron Hernandez questioned in homicide

I'm always stunned when a former Florida player gets in trouble with the law... :D

I'm holding out for Tebow to get in trouble before I am stunned.

Re: Aaron Hernandez questioned in homicide

This story makes no sense at all.

He allegedly shot a guy in the face, but wasn't arrested or charged for it?

Maybe he has **** Cheney's lawyer.

Re: Aaron Hernandez questioned in homicide

Just because a guy has four positive drug tests, his house and car are being investigated in a murder case, and he's being accused of shooting someone with an unlicensed gun, that's no reason to think there are character concerns. [/Rhody31]

More likely Marvin Harrison's.

Re: Aaron Hernandez questioned in homicide

I remind everyone that this is still a fluid situation and not to jump to conclusions.

Re: Aaron Hernandez questioned in homicide

How dare you say Gronk is injury-prone? Other than when he missed an entire season of college with a back injury that was so chronic, several teams put him on their "Do Not Draft!" list convinced it would reoccur, and the time he's missed with other injuries like a forearm he broke and then rebroke, it is all just coincidence. Hater.

And how does an NFL player shooting somebody not make the news?

Re: Aaron Hernandez questioned in homicide

This did not begin well, and I'm sure the middle be just dandy.

Cut your losses with the guy. Now.

(The Pats were relying on this guy moving over to receiver this year, after Welker left. They are screwed.)

Oh, yeah, and this: http://boston.cbslocal.com/2013/06/19/police-quiet-on-investigation-involving-aaron-hernandez/
