A soon-to-be-running NBA Draft Thread

If Brandon Roy makes it to No. 6, that's an absolute steal. He should be a top-three pick.

And supposedly, the Hawks have pledged to pick Sheldon Williams at No. 5 if he's there. He won't make it to the Celtics.

Commentary on ESPN.com by Rick Majerus after Gay gets picked first: " I am still not a big Gay guy"- I remember watching that live and not laughing at first because I thought there was no way he said that. Then, I saw Lavin cracking up and I lost it.

MY LOTTERY PROJECTION

1. TORONTO: Andres Bargnani, Italy
2. CHICAGO: Tyrus Thomas, LSU
3. CHARLOTTE: Adam Morrison, Gonzaga
4. PORTLAND: Rudy Gay, UConn
5. ATLANTA: LaMarcus Aldridge, Texas
6. MINNESOTA: Brandon Roy, Washington
7. BOSTON: Shelden Williams, Duke
8. HOUSTON: Ronnie Brewer, Alabama
9. GOLDEN STATE: Patrick O'Bryant, Bradley
10. SEATTLE: Randy Foye, Villannova
11. ORLANDO: Rodney Carney, Memphis
12. OKLA/NO: Cedric Simmons, N.C. State
13. PHILADELPHIA: Marcus Williams, UConn
14. UTAH: Saer Sene, Senegal

Morrison might go at three, but not to the Bobcats as long as Jordan has a heavy hand on the team.

What exactly happened to my NBA thread?
It's June. It's baseball season. ;)
On the topic of the thread though, those worrying about whether JJ Redick will do fine in the NBA, relax. He's already got one DWI under his belt, he'll do just fine. ::)

forgive me if this has been added already:

telfair to the celts for dickau and #7 pick.

part of larger iverson deal perhaps?

Not part of an Iverson deal. Stand alone.

I have seen ESPN's reports of a rumored Garnett deal, but I keep hearing that Chicago is picking for itself, no trade. Maybe they know something I don't.

I read in a mock draft that the Celtics got Telfair to run the point and play West more at off guard. The Iverson deal would just be something separate, but they need to find a third team to do it.

The Telfair deal is also about dumping LaFrentz's salary, as I understand it.

Wish I had a better handle on what Chicago was doing.

So Andy Katz goes on the air and says the Bulls are trading down to No. 4 from No. 2, throwing in a forward and future considerations. Portland moves up to No. 2.

Well, the Bulls just took LaMarcus Aldridge at No. 2 and no trade was made.

Katz trying TOO hard to break news? Was his source misinformed? Lied? Or did the Bulls change at the last sec?

Trade can't be announced until after the No. 4 pick, if it's true. So he's still got a few minutes to be proven correct.

For the love of all that is holy, Stephen A., please STOP YELLING. Please, please, please. I'm begging.

I know it's futile for me to post this, but I had to do something.

How long before MJ questions Morrison's manhood? Does he start crying before MJ's tirade is over? Or, does he actually wait until it's over?

A Morrison crying joke?

ahhahahahahahaa

Why did the Blazers do that? Unless I don't understand some salary aspect of it, why trade up to pick a player (Aldredge) that would have been available at 4?

Best line of draft so far:

DJ Stuey -- "The rest of this interview is going to be in English."

my particular, corny, bastardized english

What are the Bobcats going to do with Gerald Wallace now? He has been their SF and is a great defender. He averaged 15 PPG last season, too. Very underrated. He's has been their starting SF the past two seasons and is listed at 6-7. He doesn't really fit anywhere but SF. So what does this mean for Morrison? Wallace?
