“Katie required a slow, thoughtful, careful and measured response to her disease. Trying to fill every hole in every tooth in her mouth in one visit is not only the antithesis of what was indicated, it is not humanely possible to achieve in an effective or constructive manner,” Goldstein said, adding that it was “inconceivable” to address 28 teeth in 5 1/2 hours.

One challenge of a long appointment is maintaining adequate anaesthesia, Goldstein said. The maximum dosage is 490 mg. Molldrem administered 960 mg to Wilson.

Woman, who has never taken care of her teeth, pissed that dentist ****ed up.

This lady isn’t a saint. She was probably close to having the infections start to cause brain damage.

I ignored a dentist for many years. When I finally went, my to-do list included a root canal. But it was probably six months before we got to the root canal because there was a lot of other cleanup that had to happen first. He said you'd never want to expose a tooth like that while the mouth is full of bacteria.

I have a really bad gag reflex and have had some really bad experience with dentists (*) a while ago, to the point where I was throwing up even before the visit. I developed a major dental anxiety.

I had some fillings fall out, tried to go to one dentist, where my anxiety wouldn’t even let me open my mouth, I finally found a guy who could do the gas, although he was reluctant to do so and only did so when I started throwing up before the X-ray. He was actually pretty good, and I found that if I spray Vick’s chloroseptic throat spray a bunch of times, that helps with my gagging and reduced my anxiety.

Alas, after having several non-puke visits, including a crown put in, my new hero told me that he was retiring at the end of 2023. Now it’s back to square one.





* One bad experience was three wisdom teeth removed while I was wide awake on nothing more than a Valium that didn’t even affect me. The dentist said he hadn’t seen a mouth like mine in 20 years, could barely get some Novocaine into the pulp of the teeth and, after nearly yanking me out of the chair several times, said “I think we might have to have you go to the hospital and put you under.” Really Doc? You couldn’t have ****ing decided this during our consultation? My ****ing teeth are half in and out now. Am I supposed to be walking around with this? Do your ****ing job and get my ****ing teeth out.
