Now would you kindly speak English and drop the vernacular.

Curly: Vernacular? That's a derby!

well-done.

Edit: and here's a link to that episode, "Disorder in the Court": http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=38739944

The TV movie from about 10 years ago with Paul Ben-Victor (Vondos from "The Wire") as Moe, Michael Chiklis as Curly and the bald guy from "Sex and the City" as Larry wasn't totally unwatchable.

But I see no reason for a big-budget feature film.

As for ugly groups of famous people, I'd put these guys up there with anyone:

And they look even worse now that they're older (well, not Brian Jones, he's dead).

Anybody know which episode it was where the Stooges were withstanding an aerial attack in a raft and Moe looks up and bellows, "Hey, it's us! The Stooges!" ....

All the more reason for him to look terrible.

Even as a corpse, he's probably still no uglier than Keith:

One of the wierdest things going right now. Keith Richards advertising Louis Vuitton.

Plus, I'm sure the movie would show a lot of drama behind the scenes with the Stooges, so you would need people with a decent amount of chops to play the roles.

I wouldn't be so sure. From the link:

The film is not a biopic, but rather a comedy built around the antics of the three characters that Moe Howard, Larry Fine and Howard played in the Columbia Pictures shorts.

Doesn't sound like they care about the drama.

You could stamp an LV on that face and sell him as a handbag.

Drew Carey's another fatty, but he's not really a slapstick guy. He could be Joe, who was useless and sucked. Right down his alley.

After what he's done to the Price is Right, I'd certainly pay to see Drew Carey repeatedly smacked in the head with a frying pan.

Just based on appearance, why not get John McEnroe to play Larry?

Of course, if "Moe" poked John McEnroe-as-Larry in the eyes, Johnny Mac might just go ballistic all over Moe's ass. And wouldn't that be a new twist on "Stoogeism"...?

Almost daily throughout my high school career, my afterschool routine consisted of the three Stooges shorts on WSBK-TV from 4-5pm. That could not be the reason I am now unemployed. Could it?

And I still spout lines in almost any situation.

"Angel, strangers in the house."

"Moe, I thought you were the goon."

Larry: "See the cat. The cat has chickens."
Moe: "You imbecile, cats don't have chickens, cats have kittens."
Larry: "Well my cat got into the chicken house and that cat had chickens."

Comic genius that cannot ever be replicated.

In the 80s Fridays did a Three Stooges sketch where they were all drug addicts. The Howard family sued them.
Larry David played Larry. I think John Rourke was Curly and Bruce Mahler was Moe.
The link is one of the sketches.
