Yeah, I know that my first reaction to a gunfight in a bar would be to hit the floor, turn my phone camera to video and hold it up.

I noted this on the DC shooter thread, but it's actually a really good way to see what's going on while maintaining cover.

True that... but this generation, sure as hell some doofus is gonna be standing there filming with the light from the phone screen making him a better target.

What the hell is a 16-year-old doing in Da Club?

Somebody skipped out on their curfew and has a little explaining to do with the parents.

Here's a twist I did not see coming. It was apparently the main performer.

Ricky Hampton, better known as Finese 2Tymes, and another suspect were arrested by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, ATF and FBI at 1:15 a.m. at Side Effects at 400 Second Avenue North in Birmingham, said Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Cliff LaBarge. Hampton was headlining a show at the club from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m., and was nabbed as he walking back into the club.

Hampton was sought on aggravated assault charges out of Arkansas after the Saturday morning shooting a the Power Ultra Lounge, a two-story club not far from the State Capitol. Hampton was headlining that show as well.

The chief also told reporters that he found it "concerning" that an advertisement for the concert included a photograph of the headlining performer pointing a gun toward the camera. He said the artist had two warrants related to violence in other cities, according to The New York Times.
